Download the application formThe Saskatchewan College of Family Physicians will provide a Study Grant Award to two (2) Family Medicine Residents – Year II, to attend the College of Family Physicians of Canada, Family Medicine Forum 2021 in Toronto, November 10th – 13th, 2021. The Awards are for up to $1,700.00 each and recipients are chosen by random draw.
Download the application formThe Saskatchewan chapter of the College of Family Physicians of Canada (SCFP) is excited to promote the CFPC vision of future family practice in Canada, the Patient’s Medical Home (PMH). “In this vision, every family practice across Canada offers the medical care that Canadians want – seamless care that is centred on the individual patients’ needs, within their community, throughout every stage of life, and integrated with other health services.” CFPC
We would like to hear from you, the physicians of tomorrow. Write a 750-word essay on one of the ten pillars of the Patient’s Medical Home. Provide evidence for the pillar’s success in primary care, and how it might be applied to Saskatchewan primary healthcare.
The winner will be sponsored to travel to the 2021 Family Medicine Forum in Toronto, November 10th – 13th, 2021. All undergraduate medical students from the University of Saskatchewan are eligible. You must submit your essay by August 31st, 2021, to the following email [email protected]. By entering the essay contest, you are providing consent for written materials to be used in promotion and education of the public.

This award was established to stimulate research and scholarship in Saskatchewan. This funding supports members in active practice to carry out research activities related to meeting the changing needs of their patients and communities within Saskatchewan.

The Honours and Awards Program offers grants, scholarships and awards to recognize, and support family physicians, family medicine residents, and medical students committed to education, research, and excellence in the practice of family medicine.
