Do you know someone who has done something particularly innovative or exceptional in the last 1 or years? Saskatchewan has the opportunity to select up to 2 individuals to be recognized for their activities in the province or around the world with the Awards of Excellence.
This award is intended to recognize individuals (physician or non-physician) or groups, college members and non-members, that have made a significant contribution to family medicine in Saskatchewan through clinical research, education, or administrative activities.
The SCFP Resident Leadership Award recognizes the leadership abilities of two (2) outstanding Residents from the Family Medicine and Enhanced Skills Programs. The award recipients will receive free registration for the 2023 Family Medicine Conference (FMC), being held in Regina on September 22, 2023, and up to $1,700 to attend the 2023 Family Medicine Forum (FMF), being held November 8th to 11th in Montreal. This award was established to stimulate research and scholarship in Saskatchewan. This funding supports members in active practice to carry out research activities related to meeting the changing needs of their patients and communities within Saskatchewan. SCFP has a total fund of $20,000 available to support a maximum of two recipients annually.
The College of Family Physicians of Canada has many different awards and honours available to celebrate the achievements and outstanding work of members by offering funding for scholarships and grants and by promoting their successes.
The Honours and Awards Program offers grants, scholarships and awards to recognize, and support family physicians, family medicine residents, and medical students committed to education, research, and excellence in the practice of family medicine.
